Rothner House – Darling Point

Concept design
Council documentation

Extensive remodeling of existing house for a well-travelled family. exploring new ideas for coastal living within a gentrified and limited environment in a great setting. referencing christian liagre and ilse crawford via the lens of mediterranean and middle-eastern resort lifestyles.

The client’s emotional brief was to provide a grand mansion experience appropriate to setting with a sensual ‘lazy lux’ agenda. Achieved through exploring elements of moving ‘through and beyond’ the space, the coastal grandness, and the luxury of a free-flowing environment – applying simple geometries with sophisticated use of materials and lighting.
